Three Hundred Centers and 50 Years Later...

Teen Challenge is a program founded on God's love. It began in 1958 when a man named David Wilkerson entered a New York city court room on behalf of some young teenage gang members and shared with them the gospel of Jesus Christ.  Many of the gang members accepted Jesus Christ as their savior and received a radical life transformation.  It didn't take long for Reverend Wilkerson to realize that the young men he ministered to had various life controlling issues from substance abuse to depression that were keeping them from becoming truly free and productive.  Hence the Teen Challenge ministry was born and since then it has grown to be not only one of the most effective programs, but also the largest. There are over 300 Teen Challenge Centers locally and abroad offering a message of hope to people of all ages.  To read more about the birth of Teen Challenge and David Wilkerson's experience please contact us for your free copy of his best selling book "The Cross and the Switchblade".
